Its A Sad Day

Its a sad day here at the Humphreys... We lost one of our family members today. We had to put our dog Sorrel down today..... The last couple of weeks her health has really been going down hill. We think she had cancer. She wasn't eating anymore and was having a really hard time getting around... So we decided to put her down... It was kinda hard on some of the family, but it was the best thing for her...

Well on the brighter side, we had a great Christmas here... I got couple of war books and alot of clothes... My mom got me a light purple dress shirt with a tie and brown dress pants... She said that she couldn't bring herself to buy me anything on my list... I guess I just want stupid stuff... I wore the outfit on Sunday and we went to the pioneer home that day... All the old ladies there kept telling me that they liked my outfit... So I was glad mom got me it instead of what I had asked for... I kinda prefer it that way... Bek gave me the best present.... She made me a scrap book of all our adventures with the Hammetts.. It almost made me cry looking at the pictures... Those were some of the funnest times... I got the family Little Big Planet for PS3... Its the funnest game ever... You have little Sack boys or girls that you bounce around threw different obstacle courses... The other night tobi, aimee, and jock stayed up tell 3 in the morning playing it... It was so funny to watch them play it... They could hardly play they were laughing so hard... You just hafto play it to understand.. I'll see if I can find a video of it to show you... I got jock another airsoft gun, so we have been having little wars in our house.. We made a little action video using the airsoft guns, so if you want to see it go to tobi's blog... Well I better go, today is jo's b-day and its almost time to eat....
Here's what a sack boy looks like... Aren't they cute?? :) You can dress them up and change there color... The best game ever....

We just woke up in these picture and are waiting for dad and mom to tell us when can go in and see our presents from the parents.. All our gifts from mom and dad... Playing airsoft!!!! Come On!! Come On stick your little terrorist head out!! There you go!! Your MINE!! Jock showing off his battle wounds.... Boy!! we really do look like terrorist... :)

What's Your Christmas Traditions??

This week has been kind of crazy.. One day some girl is mad at me and calling me a sexist and the next day there's a guy trying to set me up with a girl... But I'll save that for later... Me and Jock went Christmas shopping today... It was a lot of fun, I think we went to almost every store in town.... It was fun watching jock pick out presents for people.... He is really into Christmas... The day after we put up the tree he had all his presents wrapped and under the tree... I think so far he's the only one who has put presents under the tree.... He has even made sure he got Aaron and Lisa a present.. O HEY Smith!!! What do you think about trading me cars??? You would get the better deal if we did.. :) mines not beat up.. LOL I like your heater... Anyhow Aaron left for Juno today, so I picked his car up at the airport for him... Its a little nicer then mine, just a little... Jock was going threw Aaron's glove box and we found some track in there.. So I told Jock to grab a couple out for each of us and that at the next store we go to, we had to ether give them to some one or set them somewhere where people would find them.... So we went to B&N, he was getting someone a present there... When we got back out to the car he asked me if I had gave my tracks out... I was like arrgh I forgot... He did the little shame on you thing with his finger... I was like did you??? He got this cute little grin on his face and just nodded his head yes... It was really neat.... Okay I better start talking about what I originally meant to post about... Christmas traditions.... My family has a lot of them... But recently there has been some in the family and not yet family who have tried to destroy them... :-( ARRGH So far I have been able to battle and succeed in keep them around but I fear that I'm fighting a losing battle... So I wanted to share them with you before they are forever gone... LOL The first of our traditions is no listening to Christmas music till after thanksgiving... Which bub and Lisa have tried to ruin this year... The funny thing about that is that bub usually doesn't listen to Christmas music till the week of Christmas (that's usually because it take him that long to get in the holiday spirit).. But this year since his girl wanted to listen to it before Thanksgiving, he acted like he was really into christmas music and him and Lisa were trying to force it on us... It was embarrassing... We always make it a big deal when we set our tree up.. We get a lot of snack foods and Jo makes apple cider and mom makes dip for chips... Then we put on some Christmas music and spend the rest of the night decorating the tree.. The next one has kinda changed, but in the past when we were all younger we would hang up candy canes up for every day of December leading up to Christmas... And each morning we would take one down and eat it.. It was really exciting for us little guys to watch each day is the number of candy canes got smaller and smaller... By the time Christmas came around eating candy canes had gotten really old... Now that we are older and have had our fill of candy canes we have changed it to on December first we get out our stocking and everybody in the family buys small little treats or fruit that we stick on them for each other every day until Christmas... So its kinda cool checking your stocking to see what kind of treats are in there for you that day.... Another tradition is that we make cookies a lot of cookies but aren't allowed to start eating them till Christmas eve.... Let me tell you that gets kinda hard waiting tell then for cookies, when every night someone is making a different kind of cookies and you cant eat them for another week... Its almost torture... This year mom and the girls have been really letting the ball down when it comes to making the cookies... (I better start cracking the whip in them).... The next tradition is that on Christmas eve mom make some really good food and bek or jo makes some punch and we finally get to break out the cookies.... Then we open all the presents under the tree... The only presents that aren't under the trees our the ones from mom and dad... We first argue about whether we are going to start with the oldest or the youngest... The youngest usually when that fight... lol.... I love my big family, it the only way to go.... :-) I never really cared who started because I'm in the middle, so it will take just as long ether way for it to be my turn... We usually stay up till midnight playing with are goodies... Then the parents make us go to bed.... That night when we are all in bed mam and dad set out the gifts they have gotten for us.... They don't rap them, they just set them out in little piles for each kid.... Then some time in the early morning (usually to early) one of the younger kids to excited to sleep gets dad to wakes up the rest of the family... We are all confined to are rooms until every body is awake and ready to come out... Then dad tells us that we can come out of our rooms... The lights in the living room are out and we all you can see is the outline to each different pile of gifts... Then some one throws on the lights and we all stubble over each other as try to figure out and make our way to our piles still half blinded as our eyes a just to the light... After we get done checking out what everybody got we eat breakfast and just lay around the rest of the day eating cookies... So thats about it for are christmas traditions.... What's are your christmas traditions??? Please leave a comment or do a post on them to... Everybody seems to have different ones... Okay I better explane about being called a sexist or was it male shovenist pig??? :-) No i think it was just called a sexist... LOL But I think I have been called a male shovenist pig before... Anyhow it happend at B&N Some of us were sitting around the fireplace and I was talking to Lisa and I mentioned how I thought that girls shouldn't get there drivers license till there eighteen... I think Lisa agreed with me LOL... Well there was a girl there who we knew, I won't say who it was, but I new here but never really talked to her... Well she got alittle upset about my comment and tryed to start argueing with me... Well her arguement didn't change my mind so I think that just made her even more mad... She said that it was proven fact that girls mature three years sooner then guys... I was about to her --- well i'll save it for later what I was going to say, because that was when I looked at Lisa and she gave me the please end this NOW!!! look... Anyway If I had said what I wanted it would have really made her mad... So I just smilled and let it die at that... Well later Lisa and Kriss told me that she said I was a sexist... Ohwell ive been called worst... Well I better end this, Its already getting to long... Merry Christmas You all.....

Boarding

Life has been rather busy lately.... I had to work tens and elevens this week, so that we can get caught up for Christmas... So I'm sorry its been a week since posting... But I'll make it up with this post with a lot of pics and movies.... Anyhow we just got home from the Older Toziers house... They wanted to have us over one more time before our family gets torn apart by marriage... I thinks just a trap and that's it way over rated (marriage:-)... Its going to be a better sweet Christmas this year knowing its going to be our last one as a family... MOMMYYY!!! KRISS IS VERBALLY ABUSING ME!!! Uhhmm sry about that... Now where was I?? Oh ya the Toziers had us over tonight.. It was alot of fun, bro Tozier told stories of his younger days out in the wilderness... Very interesting!!! I went boarding for the first time this year.... I didn't really want to go, but Mike begged me to come... He said he would go if I went... I guess Kassandra isn't good enough for him any more... :) LOL Just so you people know I was joking there.... Anyhow it was me, bek, mike, kassy, bub and go figure lisa tooo.... It turned out to be funner then I thought it would be... Besides the part where Lisa ripped my earphone out of my ears leaving the little rubber dealeo that goes on the end stuck in my ear... Reb had to pull it out for me, because I couldn't, it just kept going in deeper when I tried to get it out... lol its all good :)

Here Sam these movies are for you... To show you what your missing out on... Sry that there blurry, but that's the best I could do with my phone... And I didn't know It was going to come out sideways...

December 7th 1941

67 years ago today Sunday December 7th the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor... It threw the US into WW2... Because of WW2 405,399 Americans died of all causes, and 670,845 were wounded. 130,201 Americans were captured and made Prisoners of War (POWs). So lets not forget... Here's a brief history of the attack on Pearl Harbor...

Japanese military leaders recognized American naval strength as the chief deterrent to war with the United States. Early in 1941, Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, Commander of the Japanese Combined Fleet, had initiated planning for a surprise attack on the United States Pacific Fleet at the beginning of any hostilities that the Japanese might undertake. The assumption was that before the United States could recover from a surprise blow, the Japanese would be able to seize all their objectives in the Far East, and could then hold out indefinitely.
By September 1941 the Japanese had practically completed secret plans for a huge assault against Malaya, the Philippines, and the Netherlands East Indies, to be coordinated with a crushing blow on the Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor in the Hawaiian Island of Oahu. Early in November Vice Admiral Chuichi Nagumo was named commander of the Pearl Harbor Striking Force, which rendezvoused secretly in the Kuriles. The force of some 30 ships included six aircraft carriers with about 430 planes, of which approximately 360 took part in the subsequent attack. At the same time, a Japanese Advance Expeditionary Force of some 20 submarines was assembled at Kure naval base on the west coast of Honshu to cooperate in the attack.
Submarines of the Advance Expeditionary Force began their eastward movement across the Pacific in mid-November, refueled and resupplied in the Marshalls, and arrived near Oahu about December 5 (Hawaiian time). On the night of December 6-7 five midget (two-man) submarines that had been carried "piggy-back" on large submarines cast off and began converging on Pearl Harbor.
Nagumo's task force sailed from the Kuriles on 26 November and arrived, undetected by the Americans, at a point about 200 miles north of Oahu at 0600 hours (Hawaiian time) on December 7, 1941. Beginning at 0600 and ending at 0715, a total of some 360 planes were launched in three waves. These planes rendezvoused to the south and then flew toward Oahu for coordinated attacks.
In Pearl Harbor were 96 vessels, the bulk of the United States Pacific Fleet. Eight battleships of the Fleet were there, but the aircraft carriers were all at sea. The Commander in Chief of the Pacific Fleet (CINCPAC) was Admiral Husband E. Kimmel. Army forces in Hawaii, including the 24th and 25th Infantry Divisions, were under the command of Lt. Gen. Walter C. Short, Commanding General of the Hawaiian Department. On the several airfields were a total of about 390 Navy and Army planes of all types, of which less than 300 were available for combat or observation purposes.
The Japanese air attack on Pearl Harbor and on the airfields of Oahu began at 0755 on December 7, 1941 and ended shortly before 1000. Quickly recovering from the initial shock of surprise, the Americans fought back vigorously with antiaircraft fire. Devastation of the airfields was so quick and thorough that only a few American planes were able to participate in the counterattack. The Japanese were successful in accomplishing their principal mission, which was to cripple the Pacific Fleet. They sunk three battleships, caused another to capsize, and severely damaged the other four.
All together the Japanese sank or severely damaged 18 ships, including the 8 battleships, three light cruisers, and three destroyers. On the airfields the Japanese destroyed 161 American planes (Army 74, Navy 87) and seriously damaged 102 (Army 71, Navy 31).
The Navy and Marine Corps suffered a total of 2,896 casualties of which 2,117 were deaths (Navy 2,008, Marines 109) and 779 wounded (Navy 710, Marines 69). The Army (as of midnight, 10 December) lost 228 killed or died of wounds, 113 seriously wounded and 346 slightly wounded. In addition, at least 57 civilians were killed and nearly as many seriously injured.
The Japanese lost 29 planes over Oahu, one large submarine (on 10 December), and all five of the midget submarines. Their personnel losses (according to Japanese sources) were 55 airmen, nine crewmen on the midget submarines, and an unknown number on the large submarines. The Japanese carrier task force sailed away undetected and unscathed.
On December 8, 1941, within less than an hour after a stirring, six-minute address by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, Congress voted, with only one member dissenting, that a state of war existed between the United States and Japan, and empowered the President to wage war with all the resources of the country.
Four days after Pearl Harbor, December 11, 1941, Germany and Italy declared war on the United States. Congress, this time without a dissenting vote, immediately recognized the existence of a state of war with Germany and Italy, and also rescinded an article of the Selective Service Act prohibiting the use of American armed forces beyond the Western Hemisphere.

I made it back

I got back from ninilchik last night... We had a good time and got alot of work done... It was good to get to know Jason alittle better... He's a great guy... Its was kinda weird hearing a guy I don't know that well talk about what a great girl my sis was, but it was also really neat... We got his house all plumbed in and hooked up a pressure tank and water heater... I think he was happy with what all we got done... Lambert had us change out his water heater too... So ya it was a long week... The roads weren't that great on the drive back... It was raining going threw Anchorage and the roads all the way to denali park were covered in snow, but once we got threw the park the roads were really good the rest of the way... The fan for the heater in my truck went out on the way to ninilchik, it had been going out for awhile now... You would have to kick the fan to get it to come on, but it finally just died on me... So we had to put a new one in... We were in the parking lot of home depot at soldona... It was cold and windy and we had a hard time putting it in... It took us an hour and a half to get it in and working... No fun at all... Well least I know how to change out my heater fan now... It was hard on our way back to drive by alyeska... You could see the lights and the ski lifts working... I almost cried, but i kept back the tears.. Today it was really warm and it was snowing hard.... It would have been a perfect day to go boarding... Hey Sam you should fly up here next week and go boarding with me...=) It would be a blast!!!! Okay I better go to bed, so I'm not sleeping in Sunday school tomorrow.... I'm going to try to do a post about the date that will live in infamy tomorrow... Anybody know what that date and day was about??? Huhh anybody know??? without looking it up.... I'll give you a clue, it has something to do with Hawaii... Well if you don,t know then your a sad pathetic being... It had one of the greatest impacts on the history of our country... Okay I better stop talking... Night all...

Just More Boring Stuff

Well I'm sitting here watching a movie with the family and Aaron and Lisa.... I wont tell you what movie it is because so far it been really corny.... I'm leaving for Ninilchik tomorrow with bub, trav, and jason... We are going to blumb in jasons house for him... We leave tomorrow and are going to be down there till Friday... So I figured I would do a post before I leave... I got my hockey fix in this weekend... The Nanooks won a thriller lastnite.. They didn't play the greatest, but the other team wasn't that good ether.... The Nannoks goalie Chad Johnson kept them in the game, he's doing really good this year... Anyhow it went into a shootout... There first this year.. Walls was the only one to score in the shootout and it was a pretty sweet goal... He just skated in slow then just ripped a slap shot from the hash marks over the goalies glove side shoulder... It was pretty sweet... We had are fifth Sunday afternoon services today so I was able to make it to my hockey game tonight... It was a really fun one.... I got 4 or 5 goals. I usually don't do that good so I don't know what my deal was... But I'm happy.. We won 11-6 i think, I kinda lost count... The movie turned out to be bad so we just shut it off.. It was really pretty out tonight when I was driving home from the game... It was snowing alittle and it reminded me of all those late nights at Birch Hill boarding when we would go every weekend... Moose mountain opened this weekend... But for some reason I just don't really care if I go boarding or not anymore... I guess its because everyone I used to go with is ether gone or have gotten married and are now just old fuddy dudies... Bub said I could go with him and Lisa.. =) Boy OBOY That sounds like fun!!! I think i would rather watch the No Signal sign bounce around on my tv (like its doing right now because every body just ran off after the movie without shutting anything off. Thanks guys) then go boarding with them.. Oh hey Sam just for you I'll post a pic of my coat.. and here is the website for the coats.. Its even in English.. Well I better go pack for tomorrow... Hope you all have a good week...

Just so you know this is the girls version of the coat. The dudes version looks alittle different (cooler) but without the girly figure to it.. lol =) And Ya Lisa if I had a girlfriend I would buy her this coat... Its not my fault you got a selfish guy who will only buy himself nice jackets... So you should be bitter at him not me..... =)

Thanksgiving / Black Friday

I can't believe thanksgiving is already here and gone... I had written a post Wednesday night that I was going to put up for thanksgiving, but I thought it was dumb. So I ditched it... So know I'm going to try again.... I have to be in the mood to write a post and lately I haven't really been in the mood... Even right now I don't really feel like writing one, but it has almost been a week since my last one so I better put one up... I just got back from a nooks game.. They are doing really good this year.. They won tonight and if they win tomorrow they would have won as many games this year as they did the whole of last year.. So ya that's really cool... Well I guess I should talk about thanksgiving.. Thanksgiving was one of the days I really loved as a kid... We always had a big hockey game thanksgiving morning... I would have a hard time sleeping the night before because I would be so pumped up about it... We had some crazy fun hockey games on thanksgiving... When I was younger my dad built us a ice rink in our front yard and that's where we would play... The adults would even come out and play in there boots... We had some really intense adult vs kids games... We even had our own fights and injuries... Boy thoughs were the days..... =) I really miss doing that.... The Mcbrooms and Lamberts would always come over for Thanksgiving... Boy I have allot of good memories from them coming over... The one that's sticks in my head the most is of bek (Lewis) always getting allot of food and saying she was going to eat it all.. But after a couple of bites she would always be full.. She would say and do that every year.. One year I think she actually did finish it all but I'm not sure... I don't know why I always remember that about thanksgiving... Anyhow It was always a blast having them over... This year they didn't come over so it didn't really feel like thanksgiving... But it was a alright thanksgiving this year.. We got in our usual game of hockey even though it was -15 out.. Ya it was cold..=( But we had to do it for old times sack... Jen even came out and played so that was cool... Jason came up to visit Jo so he got to play too... Jo also dragged herself out there and played... I was kinda shocked by her she was really showing of out there on the ice for Jason!!! Ive never seen her skate so hard before and she was even the last person off the ice... Boy!! Love really does make people act different.... Speaking of that Bubs really turned into a fruitcake lately... But that's for a whole another post... Him and Lisa went over to her parents house for thanksgiving.... So it was alittle depressing not having them there... But on the bright side we didn't have to have the green bean casserole that she was threatening to bring over... Nasty!! Why anybody would want to eat something that looks and taste like a bunch of beans that have already been eaten then upchucked back into the pan is beyond me?!?! =) Anyhow we still had fun... BLACK FRIDAY Most of the family got up and went shopping today... We all went to Denys first, its starting to become a tradition to go there on black Friday... After Denys me, jock, kriss, and aaron went to almost every store in town.... SO MUCH for trying to save money... I blew way to much money today.. I bought some tools and a really nice coat (which I didn't really need) At woolyrhinos... We had a good time together... The funnest part was just sitting there (waiting for kriss, who took here time at every stored, but that's fine) watching all the crazy people running around buying everything they could get ahold of... I love people watching its a blast.... There is allot of funny people out there... And NOO I wasn't looking in the mirror... I tried to find a picture of my coat online but all I could find was the girls version of it... The coats made in Norway so if you go to there website you can't read anything unless you can read Norwegian..
Thanksgiving morning mom made us eggs for breakfast, but I told here I wasn't hungry and that I would just wait tell dinner to eat that way I would be really hungry... But after hockey I was really starving so I went to the store and got this for breakfast for me and jock.. Ya real healthy I know... =) Just don't tell my mom, she'll beat me for it... =)

I made kriss try on this hat at woolyrhinos.. She didn't really go for the hat... I don't no why?? =(

Another off the wall post....

I'm going to be shocked if anybody reads all this post.... It gives you a first hand look at what brought great happiness to Jordania in its younger days... If you do read it please vote on the poll afterwords... Thank you... =) Enjoy...

Tonight me, jock, and Aaron were over at my house killing time... Me and Jock were watching a movie while Smith was trying to study... We were watching the first if five movies on the history of fighter planes that bro Tozier gave me.... It started with the Wright brothers airplane and went threw WW1 and into the 1930s... Ya Ya I know this is boring, but it brings me to what I really wanted to post about... While we were watching it me and Smith got to talking about all the different airplanes and then Smith said that the movie was really making him want to play a combat flight simulator... I was like DUDE me too!!! Then we got talking about the video games we both played way back in our childhood.... It brought back some really good memories of the days when you didn't really have a care in the world... The days when all you had to worry about was getting your school done each day and not wetting the bed.... (don't ask)... Where the hardest thing of the week was waiting for Friday to come around again... Because Friday was movie and popcorn night.... But the best thing about Friday was that when we got done with our school and two o'clock rolled around it meant that we were allowed to play the computer... YIPPEEEE.... Boy those were the days.... At the time I was really into WW2 fighter planes and pilots... I would go to the Library and check out five or six books just on that subject.... I wouldn't just look at the pictures I would read them to... I got this book once that was about every single air battle that took place in WW2.. I remember the book was orange and had really small print and was about five hundred pages long and it weighed about twenty pounds, I had a hard time lifting it.. No joke... I read the whole thing and when i got done I thought it was the coolest book ever... It took me two month of reading it every day to finish it... I remember when I read the last page and closed the book, that i was like WoW I can't believe I read all that!!! It felt like it took me ten years to read it and that I had so much information crammed into my head that if stood up I would fall over head first from the weight of it all... HMMMM Sry people didn't mean to go on and on and on about that... OKAY back to what I meant to post on.... ANYHOW I was totally into WW2 airplane fighter games... We went to Sam's club one day and the first thing us kids did when we go to Sams is run to the electronic section and check out the computer games and videos.... So this day we ran over there as usual.. When I got to the video game section, I was stopped in my tracks by what I saw for sale on the shelf.... THERE IT WAS!!! The ULTIMATE airplane fighter game!!! =) It was what ive always dreamed of and more... It was Microsoft COMBAT FLIGHT SIMULATOR 2.... It was amazing.. I grabbed it checking out the cool pictures and amazing graphics.. It was the Pacific Theater it let you fly all the airplane in WW2 and you got to fight the Japs... OHBOY OHBOY!!! Then m heart sank when I saw the price 50 dollars!!! :-( 50 dollars?!?! Hows a little elven year old boy supposed to afford that or even get his parents to buy it for him??? Hey mom will you buy this for me?? (mom) How much is it??? (me) Ummm just fifty bucks... (mom) WHAT??? Fifty dollars?!?! Put that back jordy before I spank you... Will i couldn't blame her... Fifty dollars was more then i usually saw in a year... So I went home heart broken, my dreams crushed, ruined, it was the end of the world.... =( Once I pulled myself out of deep very deep depression I was in, I determined to save my pennies up for the game.. But after month of saving I only had half of what I needed... It seemed like i would never save up enough money.. But then it happened.. It was in December... The church voted to give dad a love offering of $1000 for Christmas... So he gave us kids 50 dollars each... $25 to spend on gifts for others in the family and $25 to spend on our self... I HAD IT!!! Finally the 50 dollars... The only problem now was convincing the parents why I wanted, nooo, why I needed this game... And let me tell you it was no small ordeal talking them into letting me get it... They finally said YES!!! I LOVE YOU DAD, MOM, your the bestest parents.... But then I had to wait two more agonizing days before we went to town again.... After hours and hours of shopping we finally made our way to Sams... I ran and got it and took it to mom to pay for it since i didnt have a Sams card.... After leaving Sams we got to go straight how right?? NOOOOOO we had to go to Joan's fabric... Two long vary long hour later we finally headed home... Well I finally made it home and got to play my game.. And it was what I always dreamed of and more... I became an ACE in two days and got to fly my favorite airplane the P-38 Lightning.... I got to fight in the great battles like Midway and Guadalcanal.... I had a AI wingman named Mike that would go on all the missions with me and whenever he got shot down I would always start the mission over because he was my favorite wingman and had the most kills beside me... On one mission he got shot down, but I didn't realize he did, so I finished the mission... After each mission it would save the game and wouldn't let you replay the mission.. So after it saved it I realized he had got shot down and I couldn't replay the mission to save him... I was so mad at myself, I felt like I had lost a good friend. I almost cried.. The missions where never the same without him... :-( It was the most amazing game ever, I played it to death.. I shot down many a Jap and turned the tide of WW2 almost single handily.. I even got dad to by me a fancy joystick to help me fly better, but that's another story.... Anyhow watching that airplane movie just brought back that great memory... So after the movie me and Jock tor the house apart trying to find the game... That was quite the adventure in itself, we finally found it and played it... It took me 5 minute for the game to get old and boring to me.... But even after ten years I still remembered the controls on the keyboard without looking... The graphics where really sad compared to now days games... But as a little kid and with the imagination I had the graphics back then totally beats anything they make now.... Okay that's enough of rambling on about that.. Like you really care... I hope you found something interesting in this post.... Above in the other post are some pictures and movie that go along with this post... Oh and don't forget to vote on the poll.... Good Night All...

Just pictures

Well I don't really feel like writing a lot today, so I'm just going to post some pics I took over the summer on my phone..

I had a day off of work at the beginning of summer
so me and jock had a big brother little brother time
out on the town... So I took him to chillis..

Kriss and Aimee stole my phone and took this
picture and put it on as my wallpaper as a joke.
I changed it after awhile but whenever I plug my phone
in it come up as my wallpaper.. I don't know why...

Jane before she turned bad... She's sweet but bad...

Sam I still think you should have bought these..

This is what jo and bek do when they get home.
Jo talks to her guy and bek watches movies...
I don't know why I even took this picture...

We were at B&N and I was trying to annoy Lisa,
so I started to take picture of her... After I took
this picture she just looked at me and said (grow
up) and then walked away before I could tell her

Hockey and Supporting a Good Cause

Well I can't really think of anything to post and I'm not in the mood to do the post about bub and lisa... So I'll just post about hockey... My next five games are ether on Sunday night or Wednesday night during church... So ya no mens league for me for the next three weeks... But on the bright side the middle school finally got there ice rink in..... So if its warm enough tomorrow me and Ethan are going to go play... That way I get my fix before I go into depression from the lack of hockey..... Here's some highlight of the Pens vs Philly... It was a really good game... Sid got two goals and it went into a shootout.... You gota check out Crosby's backhand goal in this game. I think I was drooling on myself after I got done replaying it a couple times... Sweetness!!! Check out what I just found .... Its Ovechkin Streetwear and hockey gear..... Handsome dude AYH??? Oh my bad he's a Russian... CCM has a awesome new stick out. Its the coolest hockey stick I've seen.... Anyhow none of my 6 other stick seem to be working out for me, so i think I really need this stick... But I can't afford it, so I'm now taking donations for it.. I can't think of any better cause for you to support...

Just Rambling On and On

I'm kinda annoyed at the results of the poll I had up... We (me and Aaron) had a good laugh when a first put it up.. I didn't expect anyone to choose (yep) that they visit my blog... So it was kinda annoying that 5 of you did... I was hoping that people would pick one of the other ones, so that i could use it as an excuse for shutting down my blog... So now I can't use that as an excuse.. I guess i'll just have to keep posting.. :) Oh hey for you that did choose (yep) did you realize that even if you had picked one of the other options it still meant that you visit my blog... Just wondering... Let me know if you didn't... :) I crack myself up.... Uhummm sorry.... I had better post something worth reading or you all might just stop visiting my blog... Oh Hey!! did i mention how annoying Caleb and Lisa are yet?? OH WAIT a sec before i forget... Let me warn all you guys out there that wear deodorant... By (guys) I mean the males and if your a girl that wearing men's deodorant then that's just scary... Don't ever buy the adidas DEEP ENERGY limited edition... There's a reason its a limited edition... Its because it make you smell worse then you would without wearing deodorant for a week... So don't do it man you'll regret it.. Anyhow I thought I would share that bit of info with you.. Your welcome.... :) Hey the Nanooks played some really great hockey this weekend.. They beat Michigan 4-1 Friday night but lost tonight 3-2. But it still was some great hockey... The nooks are pretty good this year under Dalles Ferguson.... There 3-3 in ccha play.. Me and Jock had a day out on the town today.. It was allot of fun... We first went to woolly rhinos, then to playitagain sports and got our skate sharpened... Then to Walmart... At Walmart I went threw the self checkout. And the little credit card reader wouldn't read my card so I had to ask the casheir for help.. Anyhow she could'nt get it to read it either... So in the process of putting it in manually she lectured me on how I need to get a new card. I think she told me that 5 or 6 times... I was stuck there (by there I mean in the checkout line) for almost a half an hour... Then we went to Bruggers Bagels. Jo, bek, bub, and Lisa were there to... The food was good besides the fact that the portions were way to small... I felt sry for the girl that took my order because it was only the second time I had been there... At least I think I went there before... Anyhow I didn't know how thing worked when you order your food. Cause its sorta like subway... So I kinda just stood there like an idiot.. And she was trying to ask me what i wanted on my bagel and it wasn't clicking that it worked like subway and I'm supposed to tell her what I wanted... Any how in the end I was able to pull myself out of my dumb blond moment and order my food... WoW!! I'm just rambling on and on... Cool... So after that we went to beaver sports and they still didn't have the coat I wanted in yet. Even though they were supposed to get some in the store TWO WEEKS ago.. So then we went to Fredys and jock bought playmobils... Like he needs more of those.... Then we went to the big dipper and played hockey.. It was a blast we played for 2 or 3 hours and after that he still wasn't ready to quite and go home... I was able to school some high schoolers in the art of hockey... Or maybe it was the other way around, I forget... Any how it was the most fun I had for a long time just hanging out with my little bro.... Okay sry for this post that goes on on about nothing... I better go to bed... Night gents.. Oh I almost forgot I was going to tell you about bub and Lisa... Hmm I think I'm going to wait to post about them... Sry to keep you in suspense... I'll do it in the next couple of days...

Its a sad sad world we live in

I've been sitting here for about two hours, watching Obsession and trying to think of something to post about the election.... But I can't really think of anything to say... If you want to get scared to death and get depressed just watch Obsession and then think of Obama is your president.. Its scary... Please people if you have time please watch Obsession we need to wake up to what is going on around the world... Tuesday showed how much of a sad state America is in.... We as Christans need to be on our knees more then ever asking got not to destroy or give up on our country.... We better prepare for some scary days ahead..... So much for wanting to join the military... Its not going to happen in the next four years....

Here are a couple of verses that help me when I get depressed thinking about the world we live in..

Psalms 37:1-4 Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut of down like the grass, and wither as the green herd... Trust in the Lord, and do good, so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed... Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desire of thine heart....

Here is a song that I think fits for the day we live in...

Oh little town of Bethlehem Looks like another silent night. Above your deep and dreamless sleep. A giant star lights up the sky. And while you’re lying in the dark. There shines an everlasting light. For the King has left His throne. And is sleeping in a manger tonight, tonight.....
Oh Bethlehem, what you have missed while you were sleeping. For God became a man. And stepped into your world today. Oh Bethlehem, you will go down in history. As a city with no room for its King. While you were sleeping. While you were sleeping...
Oh little town of Jerusalem. Looks like another silent night. The Father gave His only Son. The Way, the Truth, the Life had come. But there was no room for Him in the world He came to save...
Jerusalem, what you have missed while you were sleeping. The Savior of the world is dying on your cross today. Jerusalem, you will go down in history. As a city with no room for its King. While you were sleeping. While you were sleeping....
United States of America. Looks like another silent night. As we’re sung to sleep by philosophies. That save the trees and kill the children. And while we’re lying in the dark. There’s a shout heard ‘cross the eastern sky. For the Bridegroom has returned. And has carried His bride away in the night, in the night....
America, what will we miss while we are sleeping. Will Jesus come again. And leave us slumbering where we lay. America, will we go down in history. As a nation with no room for its King. Will we be sleeping? Will we be sleeping?......
United States of America. Looks like another silent night.....

It has a very good msg.... Just so you all know I don't agree with most of the other songs this artist sings...

No More Big Mac's For Me!!! Yes? or No?

My dad put these articles in the bulletin this past Sunday.. After reading it me and one of my sibling had a disagreement on whether you should go to McDs or not.. Please read the articles and let me know what you think...

American Family Association, 9/3/08 reports: “In January, McDonald’s paid for travel and accommodations for 56 employees to attend the ‘Pioneer Summit’ in San Diego. The purpose of the meeting was to develop a plan to promote the gay agenda within the company. Those attending were thrilled that McDonald’s showed such support for their agenda.” It is sad that another corporate titan has joined the ‘promote homosexuality’ bunch. Seeing the Golden Arches ahead is suddenly dimmed when made aware of supporting the ‘gay agenda.’ Many missionary children, hardly old enough to understand, may hear they parents say, “We can’t support them any longer.” It costs to be a Christian...but the reward is too great to ignore. (1 Cor. 15:58)

The Golden Arches — McDonald’s donated $20,000 to the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce in exchange for membership and a seat on the group’s board of directors. The NGLCC lobbies Congress in support of same-sex marriage. ( American Family Asso., 7/10/08) Donald Wildmon of AFA, has pointed out the strong stand the golden arches’ food chain has taken in promoting same-sex marriage. Standing for anything God and the Bible are against is not a worthy dining area. Please, don’t use Matt. 9:11–13 against this stand. Jesus was not endorsing sin. He was against the sin and after the sinner, not joining them or approving their lifestyle.

More On McDonalds — Throwing out any pretense of being neutral in the culture war, McDonald’s has taken up the rhetoric of gay activists, suggesting those who oppose same-sex marriage (SSM) are motivated by hate. (AFA, 7/10/08) The article quoted Bill Whitman, McDonalds’ spokesman as saying, “...hatred has no place in our culture.” ”The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.” (Prov. 8:13) The manner in which the Lord dealt with Sodom & Gomorrah clearly expressed His hatred of homosexuality. God also hates arrogance and fraud. This is the primary reason so many want God’s truth to be silenced in America. To fear the Lord is to hate evil!

I personally think Christians shouldn't go there now... But its hard to know what to do... There is the argument that there are other companies out there that support the same cause and we don't boycott them.. I know that there are other companies out there that support the Gay and Lesbian cause. I haven't really researched out which companies do or don't... So ya I may still be going to places that support it.... It just seems like McDs has pushed the issue and have done more to support it then most companies... And by suggesting that those that oppose it are motivated by hate, is really something that's scary for Christians... So if you give a dollar to McDs are you supporting the gay cause?? Or should Christians go to McDs more now so that we can try to be a witness to them?? Or even should we watch good movies gay people play in or listen to good music that gay people have produced?? Is that supporting it too?? So ya I don't have all the answers.... If you have an opinion on this please leave a comment and let me know what you think...

Swimming

When Sam was up here we were going to do a post on his blog about when we went swimming, but never got around to doing it. I couldn't think of anything to post, so I decided to finally do the post... It was three month ago and ya Sam was up here and we had just watch Michael Phelps win his eighths gold medal.. And us (me, Jock, and Sam) being inspired by Phelps got the bright idea of going swimming even though the temperature was only in the forties..

So being all stoked we headed to the lake!!

Sam.... Nice Oakley's.... Miss you dude...

Jock... Nice goggles... And they are his and don't you dare
try to take them from him... (its an inside joke)

And ya me Jordan......

Well we finally made it to the lake.. And once we made it
to the "beach" it sorta hit us, (least me and Sam) that it wasn't
the brightest thing to be swimming when the temps only in the
forties..... So me and Sam being the real men we are talked Jock
into being the guinea pig and diving into the water first.... :-)

You gotta love little brothers... So after seeing that jock made it in and out of the water alive me and Sam finally dove in too... And Ya it was cold... very cold... too cold.. But I was able to endure it by thinking of it as part of my Navy Seal training.. It helped me stay in the water for about 5 whole minutes, give or take a couple of minutes.....

Me and Sam trying not to get hypothermia!!!

Needless to say there was a little boy who wasn't to happy with his big brother for making him get out of the water and go home just ten minutes after getting to the lake... But I appeased him by renting the star war Lego video game to play... ( ya he's spoiled) So instead of swimming me and Sam met up with Noah and went and played hockey but that's another story... Okay that's it... I hope you all have a good Sunday and don't forget to set your clocks back.....

P.S. A special thinks to my cell phone, for always being there to capture these great moments... Yep I'm a dork
