Championship Game

Hey dad you missed a great game tonight..... Well Wednesday night after church Aaron, Tobi, and I headed to Polar Ice to play in my Championship game for the men's hockey league that I'm playing in... On the way to the ice we passed a GVEA truck parked on the side on the road and there was a guy with a long pole messing with the power line... We didn't think much of it at the time.. But when we got to Polar Ice all the parking lot lights were off and then I noticed that everybody was leaving... So I ran inside to see what was going on.. The lights were off inside the building too... Some guy who was leaving told me that the power had gone out right in the middle of the game before mine so they were moving that game and the one I was playing in to the next day...

Tonight the power was working so we got to play... It was the closest game I ever played in.. We scored the first goal about midway through the first period and then just a couple of seconds later they tied it up... It was a really fast paced first period.. We went into the second tied up at 1-1.. Everybody was pretty tired out in the second.. A couple of minutes into the second we went ahead again with a slap shot just over the blue line... Then halfway through the second I got a break-away.. I was coming up the left side and there was only one d-man between me and the goalie.. I did a pretty nifty deke (: on him and he fell for it... So I was able to get around the d-man.. (to be honest I don't know really what kind of move I put on to get around him, it just happened and I got lucky) So ya it was just me and the goalie!!! lol I went for a back hand and ping!! It hit the post! Boy what a bummer... After the next face off the other team took the puck down and scored to tie the game up at 2-2... I got in a little trouble at the end of the second period when the puck got shot down to the other teams goalie... It made it to the goalie put he didn't cover it up and I was skating down hard after the puck.. So just before I got to it the goalie covered it up and I had to put on the brakes.. So I ended up spraying him pretty good... He slashed me alittle and then the ruff came over and told me if I did that again I was going to get kicked out... I was like ya that was a bit stupid... I didn't really mean to spray him... Oh well..

After the second they zambed the Ice so we got a little breather... At the start if the third period it got alittle more intense... It was back and force hockey for the first twelve minutes, with nether team scoring... But then Jason a guy I know from work put the puck into the back of the net to put the other team up by one... A little later I was just finishing a shift and was headed off the ice when my team tied it up with six minutes left in the game.. I had my back to the play so I didn't get to see how it went in... Nothing else exciting happened as the last minutes of the game ticked down and sent us into OVERTIME!!! I was on the bench for the first three minutes of the overtime... There was alot of back and forth hockey with nether team really getting any scoring chances... I was rested up pretty good by the time I was able to get on the ice... The last two minutes of OT we had the puck in there zone most of the time and got a couple of scoring chances... I got a centering pass with about twenty second left and had about six inches of open net to the goalies right side.. I totally botched the shot and it went wide... I couldn't believe it WHY!! WHY ME!!
Well the buzzer blew ofter the last twenty seconds ticked off.. To my surprise they let it go to a shoot out!!! YA NO JOKE A SHOOTOUT!!!

I was even more surprised when my team rep said I was one of the five who would do the shootout.. The other team got to go first.. The player came down and didn't really do much but shoot the puck.. Our goalie want down and did a nice pad save... The best player on our team went first and he did a nice little deke and scored... Nate a player I got to play with last year went next for the other team... He came down and did A little deke and backhanded the puck top shelf into the net... I was sitting there thinking about what I was going to do when some one hit me and said Jordan your next... ME?? I didn't really have time to think... As I made my way to the puck I decided to come in in the goalie's left and fake a shot and then drive to his right and do a back hand... I had been practicing that move all week.. Well I started skating down and faked the shot and as I went for the backhand I lost control of the puck, so I didn't get much on my backhand... The goalie did an easy kick save.. And ya there went my second chance to be the hero... ): The next four players were stopped by the goalies... The shootout was tied 1-1 with just one shooter left on each team... The last shooter for the other team was Jason and he just came down and buried the puck in the back of the net... Our last shooter was a d-man who had a good slap shot, so he came down ripped off a slap shot for the five hole... The five hole was open but the puck was just a bit to high and the goalie got a pad on it and stopped the puck... So ya we ended up losing... ): But it was such a fun game that we didn't really care that we lost... Oh Well you win some and you loss some... (: I'm just glad after this loser of a season that we made it that far...

In the end I ended up with something better then winning... Before the game they gave out little tickets for a drawing for different prizes after the game... Last year I won a new pair of hockey gloves... Well this year I won a coupon for half off of next years registration for men's hockey... Its worth three hundred dollars... So ya I was happy... Looks like I'll be playing again next year.. (:

Here are some crazy goals that Ovechkin scored... The last goal in the movie is the best.. He just pulled that one off in one of last weeks games.. He's crazy good..



The Nooks just swept there last series and are sitting in fourth place and have sealed up home ice for the first round of the playoffs.. They also have a chance to get a first round bye in the playoffs... Pretty crazy!!!

And the most craziest thing yet is that my hockey team made it to the championship game.. We played last week and I was able to make it to the game... It was the funnest game yet for me this year.. We went ahead 2 to 0 in the first, but then the other team came back in the second and scored 4 goals in a row.. My team tied it up with 2 quick goals at the start of the third.. Midway threw the third each time scored another goal.. With the game tied at 5 up it really started to get intense out there as the time clicked down on the clock.. There was about 3 minutes left in the game when one of my teammates put a shot on goal... I was driving to the net when he took the shot.. The goalie blocked the shot and the puck bounced out past me as I drove to the net.. I put on the brakes and turned real fast and the puck was just sitting there right in front of me... So I grabbed it and started to turn back around to face the goal... I figured the goalie would still be down from just blocking the shot. So as soon as I got turned around, I shot the puck top shelf.. The goalie was still down and the puck went over his lift shoulder into the net... So we won in the end 6-5 and are going to the championship game on Wednesday.. Pretty crazy huh??

Life

Now that the wedding is over life is starting to get back to normal. Well sorta... I guess with Jo gone it will never be back to normal.. But its not so hectic around here.. Everyone's trying not to go into depression.. So far its just been the parents who have broke down and start crying.. Go figure?? They were the ones that caused this to happen why are they crying?? (-:
I do already miss her but it hasn't really hit me that she's going to be gone forever... So I haven't cried yet.. Jo's not much for affection but she did give me two hugs and even cried when I hugged her... OH AND!!! She even let me kiss here before dad walked her forward... (-: She started to back away then finally let me kiss her... Cool huh!! I guess letting me kiss you Jo makes up for calling everybody in the family but me today... But if it happens again then you'll owe me one Jo...

Lets see besides the wedding, life has been rather lame... I didn't get to work today and there's no work tomorrow so that's depressing... I hate being a bum... I did find out one cool thing this week.. I guess hockey isn't over for me just yet.. Some how my loser of a team pulled out back to back wins in the tournament... So we get to play two more games and I should be able to play in both of them... So ya that's exciting!! Oh I guess that's not the only exciting thing that's happened... Have you ever had your sister chase you around the house with a pair of scissors threatening to cut your shirt off?? I did!! It doesn't get much more exciting then that around here.. lol (-: I guess bek didn't think my shirt was appropriate.. Her and kriss said it was to tight, immodest, and gay.. lol I would have to agree with them... I bought with the hope of them all freaking out on me and they didn't disappoint.. Thanks girls..

Here's Tekoa (boy I hope I spelled that right).. She torments me by always smiling at me real big, but then when I try to pick her up she screams like I'm killing her... She did let me hold her for a bit when I was feeding her Ice cream... But when it was all gone she was back to screaming again.. Hmm must be a girl thing...

Here's me being a bad influence on Titus.. I showed him a couple of movies on my Zune, then let I put some music on for him... Boy did he ever love that... Luckily it was playing something decent when his mom came by and listen to it to make sure it was appropriate..

This last picture isn't from the Chaces... After the wedding bub had one of his lets just say Caleb moments and suggested we have a sleep over.. Strange huh?? So we all grabbed our beds and moved them out to the living room.. It wasn't quite a sleep over since we all lived there.. But ya we all slept together in the living room... It was totally like a girly sleepover too.. Like talking and staying up late, bub even asked this of the wall middle school girly question.. He was in rare form that night... He even jumped of his bed and pummelled me when a made a bash on Lisa.. It was alot of fun... Okay gotto go... Night

Burnt Out on Relationships, Life, and Three Little Girls in a Video

Umm ya I'm really getting burnt out with relationships.. And I'm starting to go into depression.. Anyhow I'll get to that in a little bit... Me and Smith went to town today. We had to drop Tobi off at work and Smith needed to buy dress shoes and I needed to find dress pants and dress shoes.. But after going to just about every store in town, Ive came to the conclusion that there is way to many fat people in America.. or Fairbanks.. Because not a single store had a pare of pants that were size 32 waist 34 length... Now that's sad.. They had plenty of 36 waist 32 length... Hmm I wonder why that is???

Okay enough of that... Well I've came to the conclusion that people who are in (relationships) or the most selfish people on earth... :-( After Watching certain people go through their engagements and seeing how they act and go about with it has totally taken the desire out of me to ever go through it myself .... It's like they think the world just revolves around them... It's funny to watch how they start acting all different around each other instead of being who they really are they just start being kinda fake... It's also funny how every body else can see it but they are totally oblivious to it.. They can't tell that the other person is being kinda fake... You know I don't think that the person who's being fake even knows that they really are... I thinks its really funny after a couple of month of them being married when they find out what the person they married is really like... It makes you just want to so "I TOLD YOU SO!!! or YOU MARRIED THEM DEAL WITH IT!!" LOL

As most of you all know Jo is getting married this next Sunday.. I've got to admit It's going to be really hard on me when she leaves... I'm a really family oriented person... I can't even imagine how it's going to be like with her gone... You go from seeing her just about every day of your life to just seeing her a couple of weeks out of the year... It makes me kinda bitter about the idea of people in my family getting married, or at least getting married to someone that lives far away.. I'm still happy for her though... But there is also times when they just drive me nut and I wish they would just get married and get it over with... Jo hasn't been as bad as some when it comes to being selfish but she has had her moments... Like this morning when she was going to town... This is her last week with us, so I wanted to spend some time with her so I asked her if I could go to town with her.. She was like NO!! I was like PLEASE Jo it may be our last time to go to town together!! And she said NOPE I don't want you to come... LOL Or like when she gets mad at someone in the family and says I can't wait to get married and get out of here... I usually just respond to her by saying, Uhuh Jo just wait a couple of month when you finally see who your night in shining armor really is and that his armor can get a little rusty.. When he leaves for work and your just sitting bear foot and pregnant in your home there Anchor Point all alone looking at all the insulation sticking out of the walls... Then you'll regret what you said and that you didn't let me go to town with you... LOL But besides those to times I totally think think jo and jason have done really good in not being too self centered... They in no way are fake around each other... I am really happy for them and think that they're the perfect model for how Christan's should conduct themselves in a relationship...

Now its a little different story when it comes to Caleb and Lisa... They to are a perfect example for how a relationship is to be carried out in a godly manner... But they both have the world revolves around them bug really bad... It's kind of a touchy subject so I'm not going to dwell on it for very long... :-) Lets just say I've never seen a girl so blinded about a person in my life... When I can name like 100 annoying faults of Caleb off of the top of my head she can only name 1... Blinded I say totally blinded!! They both seem kinda fake around each other.. I know they don't try to be but the so are... Its sad sad I say!! Oh and boy is it ever embarrassing when I hear bub answer the phone when his girl calls... It makes me cringe and want to hide my head in embarrassment.. You just need to hear it to understand... Oh and she thinks whatever Caleb says is always right.. RIGHT!!! that's just my LBS coming out... Lets just say I cant wait tell the day she disagrees with something he does and she plants her feet and gets her stubborn mule face on... I hope I'm there for that Its going to be good... (little sister Kriss sympathizes much with big brother)

So ya right now in my life I could really care less if I ever get married.... I'm just don't feel like ever going through what they are doing... After talking it through with Aaron and Tobi we are all just going to get the bowl cut and shave a bald spot on top of are head and become Monks. And find a monastery on some mountain to live out are lives in peace ... All I would need to be happy is my snowboard, hockey stick, and ps3.. Tobi would bring his laptop and Aaron his kettlebell... And we live happily ever after... Oh and Sam you can come to if you want... Well to be honest I haven't talked to tobi or Aaron about it yet but I'm sure they would think my idea is great... They always do... (little sister Kriss giggles and is hoping one day big brother will grow up but at the same time never change (o;)

I'm staring to get depressed because I'm done with all my hockey games for this year and the nooks only got a couple more home games left... So the hockey season is coming to a close and I'm just not ready for that just yet... Oh well such is life... Also Aaron tried to kill me in a workout on Thursday... My legs our like screaming at me whenever I walk up or down anything.. They really hurt... I don't know how many times I murdered Aaron in my mind for making me do that workout.... Oh on the bright side we watched a six hour show about my dream job... It was a show about the training of navy seals... It was very cool!! I SO would love to do that... But I know that's not what God wants for me right now.. Bummer!! :( Maybe some day, Maybe!! :) (little sister Kriss thinks not!)

Okay here's the video you all have been waiting for... We found it on the camera today when we were taking pictures of Aimee's b-day party.. She had a sleep over last night and that's what its from... Also I asked Aimee before I posted it.. Also these girls seem to make it a goal in there live to be unusually mean to me....(little sister Kriss is getting out a violin to play a sad song)
